Closing of IIJW 2013 – Bollywood celebrities walk the ramp

The glittery saga of IIJW 2013, Mumbai edition, came to an end on August 10. Most celebrated brands of the jewellery industry participated at IIJW, displaying their best of creations which bedazzled every one. The venue was Hotel Grand Hyatt Ballroom. Sonam Kapoor, brand ambassador of India International Jewellery Week was present on the ramp to add the glamour quotient.

The models walked the ramp on the beats of Bollywood numbers sung by Shalmali Kholgade. JJ Valya, the celebrated designer was present at the event to coordinate the fashion show. There were many other celebrities who walked the ramp like Chitrangada Singh, Madhur Bhandarkar, Juhi Chawla, etc.

Bridal glamour was the flavor of the season where polki, kundan and gold jewellery encrusted with diamonds, rubies, emeralds and pearls were put on the show. Here is a glimpse of IIJW 2013.

Sonam Kapoor looked like a diva and Chitrangada Singh left viewers asking for more. Sonam Kapoor wore traditional jewellery encrusted with uncut diamonds and pearls, while Chitrangada donned another versatile piece of jadau jewellery which was going well with her western ensemble. Juhi Chawla represented the tradional house of mangalsutras.

The show also witnessed many new and upcoming talents. These jewellery designers were sponsored by well-known companies. This was the fourth edition of IIJW in Mumbai and it has already established itself as one of the most sought after events of the year for the gems and jewellery fraternity.
