Food porn for your eyes – look at the orgasmic reels

Food porn is nothing new, though the term has been coined by the digital brigade for awesome bites. Sensuous presentation of food and capturing it through our lens (DSLR/Mobile, etc.) is a norm these days. Every person who eats something delicious tries to share a picture of the same. But a good photographer can turn simple food into mind boggling beautiful creation in seconds. A food that everyone desires.  Be it fast food joints or fine dining restaurants, you will find sensuous depiction of food on their posters, banners, etc. Even our adverts are filled with food porn.

Be it Katrina Kaif suggestively licking the juice of mangoes in Slice adverts or in this TRS masala advert where food invokes emotions in the eyes of Nimrat Kaur. Suggestive licking of fingers in Dairymilk Caramello is another way of putting food porn in front of the viewers. Maggi Pazzta TVC and Tempo Hand Sanitizers & Tissues India Commercial show that Indian television is happy to use food porn to sell their products with quite a lot of creativity. Here are the videos:

But don’t set your standards by looking at these videos. There are many brands who are doing much better work and pure creativity when it comes to food porn. For example, M&S Food and Lurpak adverts, both UK based brands, show food like never before. It’s pure pleasure to look at these videos.

M&S Food

There are many production houses and individuals who make such videos both in India and abroad.

Here is a tutorial on how to capture wine splash in a glass by Shraddha Kadakia, photography specialist.

The art of food photography is here to stay. For many, sensuous, beautiful food pictures invoke primal feelings and it is backed by science that it stimulates the brain in many ways.

So I would suggest that keep eating visually appealing food to get the most out of it. How did you like the article? Do leave a comment below.
