Mumbaigloss saw the glittering ceremony of L’Oréal Paris Femina Women Awards 2014 on 27 March evening at The Leela, Mumbai. 15 women were felicitated for their exemplary work in various fields. L’Oréal Paris ambassadors Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai, Sonam A. Kapoor give away awards to winners. The awards celebrated ‘Women of Worth’ in India, honoring women who work selflessly for their communities across 15 categories including Social Impact, Community Causes, Science & Innovation and Education amongst others.

The evening saw distinguished women from various walks of life such as Kiran Bedi, Usha Jadhav, Rani Khanam, Upasana Makati among many others being felicitated for work done in diverse fields. Sonam A. Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif along with Akshay Kumar, Huma Qureshi, Neha Dhupia and Anupam Kher, Dr. Swati Piramal, Sabyasachi, Zarina Screwala from the esteemed jury members presented the awards.

With power packed performances by Isha Sharvani, Aditi Mittal and Swanand Kirkire the ceremony brought alive the essence of womanhood in India and made the evening an occasion to remember.

Honoring women with extraordinary accomplishments and exceptional commitment to their careers and communities, the L’Oréal Paris Femina Women Awards brought to the fore the strength and contribution of Indian women to society.  The nominees were shortlisted after an extensive research process while identifying each one’s key contribution in their respective fields.

Women felicitated during this ceremony are: Face of a Cause – Sminu Jindal, Science & Innovation -Upasana Makati, Online Influencer – Mehvish Mushtaq, Social Impact – Kiran Bedi, Woman we love – Laxmi, Leadership – Kirthiga Reddy, Design & Arts – Shilo Shiv Suleman, Sports – Bhabani Munda, Music & Performing arts – Rani Khanam, Business & Entrepreneurship – Pavithra YS, Films – Usha Jadhav,  Literary contribution – Salma, Enviroment – Latika Thukral, Education – Razia Sultana, Special Recognition – Debadrita Mandal.
